Thredary is designed to give you useful local organisation while continuing to work alongside ChatGPT.

Not every conversation needs to remain in your everyday conversation list.
But deleting useful conversations isn’t a particularly good solution either.
Thredary provides an archive for conversations you want to retain without having them clutter your active workspace.
Your current conversations stay focused while older knowledge remains available when you need it.

This is an important part of where Thredary is heading.
The value isn’t the application that happened to generate a conversation.

Why I built Thredary
The idea came from a problem I was experiencing myself.
As the number of conversations I had with AI increased, ChatGPT was becoming an important part of my development workflow — but the resulting knowledge was becoming fragmented across an increasingly large conversation history.
There were valuable conversations everywhere.
Finding them again was the problem.
I didn’t want another AI chatbot.
I wanted a better way to manage the conversations I already had.
So I built Thredary.
This is just the beginning
The first release establishes the foundation: organising conversations, creating local projects, archiving important discussions and making AI-generated knowledge easier to manage.
But the larger goal is more ambitious.
I want Thredary to become a local knowledge layer for your AI conversations.
One where conversations aren’t disposable.
One where projects retain their history.
And one where the knowledge you create with one AI can ultimately remain useful with another.
